Have been getting in touch with a lot of college crowd ever since i joined Orkut...an online community.

On my last visit to bombay, had gone back to college with a friend...on a sunday.felt like hugging each pillar. Even when non of the ppl were there, i felt so affectionate towards the grey building.Three years of my life I can never forget.
Saw lots of changes, some which i really liked..like the nicely redone cafeteria...and some i didnt like.. like the new look theyv given to woods...looks like a garden now.

Went to the mess and guess what, Uday still remembered us..ate the same grub we used to stuff down our throat while we'd finish our journals some ages back..

xaviers mess can still boast about its burmese toast and edd mauritian (wonder why its called that)

1)lobsters in coconut milk gravy with a little sugar to bring out that mindboggling flavour
2)hilsa...in all its avatar...
fried in mustard oil,cooked in curd,etc
3)fish eggs ...
4)chicken with methi
5)kosha mutton ..
6)eggs....oh they arent ever heros in any meals..sideline wala extra maybe ;D

a few NON non-veggie things im obsessed abt too.

1)cold coffe
2)pineapple&rum punch ,jamoca almond fudge and apna basic butterscotch flavours
3)foochka ..def diff from pani poori and gol gappe
4)samose ka crust only
5)nariyal ka chutney and NOT the accompanying idli/dosa

MESSY TALES

Caught up with bawi girl on yahoo.. We date back almost 6 years..and the conversation that started with “hi woman, can’t talk for long..just wanted to say hi� lasted for more than an hour.
Funny how no matter how long it’s been.. its always so easy to pick up threads with ur close friends.
And its funny how in spite of the time zones and months separating us..she managed to zero down on the single most fact which used to sum up my existence in the hostel not too long ago..

On second thoughts,lemme think..
dad almost threatening to throw me out of the house if I didn’t clean up my room in an hour
my hostel floor miraculously disappearing under the pile of loose notes and shirts and bag and mayo bottle and hot plate and melamine dishes and crusty fungusy bread pack and ….god knows what else ---within a week. End of two years I finally had to move to bawi-girls room with a few essential things to see me through the exams cos it was too much of an effort to clean up my room and study . and moving out was more of a pick-things-u-need-and-leave-the-rest-behind.

But now ofcourse im a changed woman.
I can afford a maid who can pick up after me.

gadgets should be for the exclusive few...complicated..with loads of metal..loads of functions..black..and definitely not the sissy "oh im so easy to use, i just have one button which does it all" types.
and for all digi cam freaks...canon EOS 10d...the king of digi slrs

btw...nothing is more frustrating than watching your newly-purchased consumer electronics product get replaced a month after you bought it.prices slashed on ur own sweet model ....
